Think someone other than me is fronting? here are the signs:

• personality change or amplification
• physical changes (eg clothes, posture, mannerisms)
• references (like "x is literally me" or "thats so x coded" but only with 1 guy
• more reserved/less social
• avoidance of mirrors
• de/increase in talking to self
• remember: some front more than others

OK, someone else is fronting: now what?

• you do not need to introduce yourself. they already know you.
• try to remeber if the host has said anything about them
• ask if theres anything you can do to make them less dysphoric/ease their transition into the hosts life
• If they are a fictional character, try reading some of their wiki page
• on that note, read their page on this site
• Use their names and pronouns
• They will not see you as family. they just met you. this doesn't mean they hate you. give them some time.
• Some of them are antagonists. thats ok. they are still people.
• Usually, the longer a headmate fronts, the more like the host they will become.
• you can always ask who's fronting.
• there are always signs.
• it's not easy feeling like your life isn't yours.
• bond with them like you would when making new friends.
• if they do not know you well, they may have little to no interest in interacting, be patient.
• you might not get along with some of the more emotional/trauma driven ones. they know what you think of them.
• sometimes we aren't sure who's fronting.
• try to guess who's fronting, like a fun little game!
